I've been wanting a black alternative the the 3M Aura and I'm so happy to have finally found one. These are slightly smaller than the Auras, which actually works better for me, and the straps feel very secure. I do wish they had a bit of nose foam to make it more comfortable, but that's an easy enough modification for me to make. These are more lightweight overall while still providing great protection.
Like many people, I've been desperately wanting a black n95 headband mask for years to go with my outfits but still provide the same level of protection as my auras do. These are PERFECT. I'm so glad they're finally being sold in the US. They're a little tighter than auras, which is great for me because auras have always felt a little loose around my chin. The straps also feel stronger and more secure. Overall, these are the perfect n95 for me!!
The masks feel initially kind of tight around my nose, but they are good quality. I find that these don't fog up my glasses as bad and they don't have any weird gaps in them. I love that the strap goes over the head.
I bought the Vitacore CAN99 hoping they'd be a nice black alternative to 3M Auras and I was right! Despite not having nose foam they have a nice seal on me. :)
I've been looking for a black alternative to the Aura for years and after trying several brands that were either too big for my face or had flimsy straps or nose wire, I was prepared to be disappointed again. But I've been pleasantly surprised by these!! The fit is a bit smaller than an Aura, and that combined with the thick straps make these masks feel well-sealed to my face, even though they don't have nose foam.
I have hot glued some nose foam and nose wire from old Aura masks onto these ones to make them more comfortable and feel more secure (since I have to mask 10 hrs/day multiple times per week, nose foam is essential for me). But I think they provide a pretty good seal without these modifications! Highly recommend :)
